How to Drink More Water
If drinking enough water sounds like a challenge, try adopting these simple tips:
Wake Up, Drink Up: Start the day with 16 ounces of water — right away. Keep a bottle on your nightstand as a visual cue.
Caffeinated Drinks "Count": Unsweetened beverages such as coffee and tea "count" toward your goal. I prefer to stick with green tea as it has some added benefits. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/269538
Try Bubbly Water: Good news — seltzer and club soda will help you hydrate, too! Choose flavored or plain options, but check labels for higher amounts of sodium, acesulfame-K, stevia, or sucralose, which can increase bloating.
Eat Fresh: Snack on more veggies throughout your day, include a salad with every dinner, and be liberal with your serving sizes of berries, citrus, melon, grapes, and other fruits. Just one apple, for example, can pack up to 1⁄2 cup of water!
Drop Some Fruit in your H2O: Add a boost of flavor and deliver an extra hit of fiber. (Frozen fruit and berries are perfect for this!)
Try my Lemon Ginger Tonic: Check out my Lemon Ginger Tonic post to stretch your water consumption throughout the day.
