Plant Description

A short shrub that grows to be roughly 2 feet tall, Lavender is native to the Mediterranean. The distinct, fresh scent of Lavender comes from the plant’s flowers, which is where the essential oil is extracted from. After extraction, Lavender essential oil is produced through the process of steam distillation. During steam distillation, steam and pressure are used to cause chemical elements to be released from the plant—separating water and the essential oil.

Main Chemical Components: Linalool, Linalyl acetate, Ocimene

The main chemical components of Lavender oil are Linalool and linalyl acetate. Linalools are known for their ability to reduce sad and anxious feelings.* Lavender falls under the chemical compound group known as esters, which are typically characterized for their calming properties.

Lavender essential oil is distilled from the freshly harvested flowering tops of the True Lavender plant (also known as English Lavender) from lavender farms in Bulgaria, France, and other areas of the world.

Roman Chamomile Essential Oil Benefits

Roman Chamomile essential oil has a sweet, soothing nature with chemical components known for their calming abilities.

Plant Description

Growing close to the ground, Roman Chamomile, also known as Anthemis nobilis, has received the nickname the “plant’s physician” because of its ability to have positive effects on surrounding plants that are growing nearby. With gray-green leaves, daisy-like flowers, and a sweet aroma that resembles an apple, Roman Chamomile produces a unique essential oil. The essential oil is extracted from the daisy-like flowers, and the flower heads are often dried to make chamomile tea.

Main Chemical Components: 4-methylamyl angelate, isobutyl angelate, isoamyl tiglate

The chemical makeup of Roman Chamomile essential oil contributes to the oil’s calming and soothing properties for the skin when used topically, as well as its ability to calm the mind when used aromatically and the body when used internally.* Roman Chamomile includes esters known for their calming properties. Essential oils high in esters are calming, relaxing, and have balancing effects on mood when diffused. The esters in Roman Chamomile, are known for their ability to reduce the appearance of blemishes when applied topically. Due to the unique chemical makeup of esters, ingesting Roman Chamomile is also very useful for soothing the systems of the body.*

Sourcing 

Roman Chamomile essential oil is steam distilled from the flower of the plant. These flowers are daisy-like and smell sweet—almost like apples. There are several varieties of chamomile. The most common use of chamomile is in herbal teas, but it is also used for its fragrance in many perfumes and personal care products.

 Avocado Oil Benefits

We use 100% Pure Avocado Oil which is an all-natural, nutrient-rich, food grade vegetable oil known for its collagen-supporting amino acids and abundance of vitamins A, D & E and slow drying time.

Internally: Avocado oil when added to CBD increases viscosity and is a great carrier oil for essential oils. 

Topically: Avocado Oil increases epidermal elasticity, while thoroughly moisturizing and softening stubborn, dry or cracked skin.
