Plant Description

The common juniper, Juniperus communis, is an evergreen conifer tree that can grow up to 10 meters high and can live for as long as 200 years. The leaves of the common juniper are needle-like with prickly points and are green in color. The tree also produces male and female flowers. The male flowers are small and yellow and grow near the tip of the twigs whereas the female flowers are green and eventually evolve into the purple fruit of the tree. The fruit is a berry-like cone that is fleshy and aromatic.

Main Chemical Components: α-pinene, sabinene

One of the main chemical constituents found in Juniper Berry essential oil is alpha-pinene. Alpha-pinene is a monoterpene which, due to its chemical properties, can help uplift and renew when used aromatically. Another main chemical component in Juniper Berry oil is sabinene.

Juniper grows natively in forests and woodlands throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and has a long history of traditional use in these areas.

Cypress Essential Oil Benefits

Cypress oil is composed of monoterpenes, which can help improve the appearance of oily skin. It can also be applied topically to give the body an energizing lift. 

Plant Description

The Cypress tree, commonly used in landscapes, is a perennial evergreen. Defining features of this tree are its upright and tall form. These trees can grow to exceptional heights of 60 to 80 feet tall. The foliage of the Cypress tree is dark green and scale like. The tree also produces cones that are 1.5 inches across. These cones are woody and scaly and usually take two years to mature. The origin of the Cypress tree is the Mediterranean area and western Asia.

Main Chemical Components: α-pinene, carene, limonene

The three main chemical components of Cypress oil are α-pinene, carene, and limonene. Both limonene and α-pinene are part of the monoterpenes group and have strong uplifting characteristics. α-pinene is also well known as a chemical with powerful renewing properties.

Squalane Oil Benefits

We use 100% plant-derived sugarcane squalane as it improves the efficacy of CBD by 10-40X as the carrier oil and is one of the most gentle.

Topically: Squalane is a highly moisturizing and emollient oil that has high resistance to oxidation and high affinity to skin and its natural lipids. Excellent skin-penetrating qualities and medium spreading qualities, this sugarcane derived emollient is non irritating, non-allergenic, and won’t clog pores.
